The Cry of the Juggalo

What may go down as the most devastating retirement in all of music, Violent J of Insane Clown Posse fame has announced the rap duo will stop regular touring next year. Mr. J announced in a press release that he his suffering from a heart condition that makes preforming difficult. Though it is not all bad news for your local Juggalos, ICP will still be releasing music along with performances at Juggalo events. I truly urge you to read the statement Violent released because it unintentionally hilarious for such a serious matter. 

Super Delux-o Albums

I used to love deluxe releases of albums but now I really just start to wonder why. On this weeks episode we talked about how the Beatles released a 57 song, nearly 3 hour long version of their 1970 album “Let it Be.” There are literally random takes of songs on this album & I just don’t know who this is for. It has been well documented that my High School Music teacher Mr. Delaney ruined any chance I had of being a Beatles fan but I still believe this is truly overkill. I hit my Nirvana phase right around the 20th anniversary of Nevermind & the release of the Kurt Cobain Documentary “Montage of Heck” which included and insane amount of found recordings of Kurt Cobain. The equivalent of throwing my voice notes on streaming services…. you know provided I hit it big & parish far too soon from this world. Though this Beatles example may not be as intrusive as the Nirvana example is but equally as ridiculous.

So are we all just curiosity streaming R Kelly? Since the airing of Surviving R Kelly, the Singer’s streaming numbers have increased 14% for on demand services & 55% on Radio Play. Don’t get me wrong we almost did it in this episode but can we all just agree that we do not need to hear Ignition anymore?

Dave Grohl has some “ideas” on how to reimagine the cover of Nirvana’s iconic 1991 release “Nevermind”. Like most people this album had a huge impact on me, albeit 20 years past it’s debut & to be honest given the nature the photo it feels wrong to rally behind not changing the image. I don’t think the 30th anniversary of Nevermind will be the last time we see this album celebrated & I think some unseen photos or reimagining’s of the cover may be more interesting than digging up all recordings of Kurt Cobain farting into a tape recorder & pressing that into vinyl 3 decades after his died. Also, can we public banish this Spencer Elden guy from society? I mean we get it, you’re bitter Mommy & Daddy didn’t get you more money but just because you were a baby on the most iconic album cover of all time doesn’t mean you have to continue to act like a child into your adulthood.

Imagine this.. you’re in the middle of the moshpit while Limp Bizkit unleash the greatest song of the 2020’s over the festival crowd when break to relieve yourself of a day’s worth of Bud Lights. Unfortunately all those drugs you put in your body to test it’s absolute limit is effecting the wildlife! A new study finds that concerning levels of MDMA were found in downstream of the river running through the grounds of Glastonbury. Good news is the levels of cocaine found downstream were not considered harmful, I hope the bears can keep up with Eric Clapton fish.

How Dare Fred Durst

I have never been a Limp Bizkit fan. I was too young when the took over MTV, all I really knew was that Rollin’ was the Undertaker’s theme music for a hot minute in the early 2000’s (arguably the worse version of the Deadman) & you were supposed to hate them. At this point I am not going to defend Limp Bizkit but I’ll be damned if their newest release “Dad Vibes” doesn’t RIP. I mean how dare Fred Durst make me absolutely love a Limp Bizkit song.

Corey Taylor vs MGK

MGK might have the worst record in celebrity beef history. This guy cannot win a feud to save his life. It says a lot to have non-Slipknot Stans defending Corey Taylor.

Nicki Minaj caused the country of Trinidad to spend money & resources trying to confirm her claims that the vaccine made her cousin’s friend impotent.

WSJS Ep. #116 - Unspeakable Gifts

This episode is my first official episode as a 25 year old & I am officially freaked the hell out! I really do not feel like I have accomplished enough for my age. But before I dive too deep into that rabbit hole of depressing thoughts, I wanted to give a huge shout out to my friends.

In these wonderful times we live in where gatherings are few & far between, getting the crew together for my Birthday was one hell of a good time. I think that it has been easy to forget over the past year or so, but people care about you. Reach out & tell your friends that you love them. 

Burnham - Bridgers 

At first I thought I was watching an actual dream from Craig’s sleep deprived imagination but Phoebe Bridgers covering “That Funny Feeling” from Bo Burnham’s 2021 Netflix Special “Inside” is damn near perfect. 

Josh Homme Trouble 

It’s worth noting that more information has come out since we recorded this episode.
Brody Dalle’s search for 2 separate restraining orders against Ex-Husband Josh Homme on behalf of their 2 sons Orrin & Wolf we rejected by the judges. 

These allegations against Josh have been denied by his Lawyer saying "Ms. Dalle has previously brought these claims to the police, DCFS, and the presiding judge of the family law court, all of whom have declined to take any action based upon these spurious claims."

This is the ultimate “can you separate the art from the artist” for me. It has been well documented that Josh Homme has had a huge impact on my life. It sucks to think that he may be an abusive person. For the sake of his children & Josh I hope that these accusations are not true. Ultimately I don’t believe that this should be public knowledge.
